Frédéric Gaufichon is an Alsatian bass-baritone who has performed internationally. Trained at the Esmuc in Barcelona, he earned a Master’s in Interpretation in Lyric Singing alongside Margarida Natividade, and at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Marcel Vanaud. He also holds a master’s degree in musicology and a DEM in jazz guitar obtained at the University and Conservatory of Strasbourg.
He has given numerous recitals and oratorios as a soloist in Spain, Belgium, Hungary, France, and Germany, and has sung roles in operas such as Max in Betly (Terrassa), the Count in The Marriage of Figaro (Barcelona), and Fiorello in The Barber of Seville (Sant Feliu de Llobrega). He has sung in the choirs of the Liceu Opera and has had the opportunity to perform in Japan and Morocco with various choirs. Today, he directs the choir of the Council of Europe, teaches singing, and continues to perform as a soloist.
